Webb UFSD students Alexander Haywood and Brenna-Lynn Marleau recently took 1st and 3rd place in The Digies, an annual digital media festival run by the School Library System of the Genesee Valley BOCES.
Haywood and Marleau demonstrated their knowledge and skills in video game creation this year using the Bloxels program for video game design. They competed against students in schools all across New York and earned 1st and 3rd place in the Interactive Digital Media category for students in grades 7-9. Haywood was awarded 1st place for his project entitled “Masked (Demo), and Marleau received the 3rd place award for her project entitled “Jupiter’s Quest.”
Haywood and Marleau were able to attend the awards ceremony in person at the Genesee County Community College campus in Batavia, where they received their awards for their accomplishments.
